Reading and studying the novel Chernyshevsky "What?" In the 10th grade - a tribute to tradition or social need?

Abstract. The paper discusses the relevance of reading and studying N. G. Chernyshevsky’s novel “What is to Be Done?” with 10th grade students. The author suggests the variant of the debate, based on the correlation of the individual fragments of the novel with personal reading experience of a student.
