Currently available distortions of training compared to the needs of the labor market lead to a reduction in the efficiency of the entire economic mechanism (increasing shortage of certain specialties at the global and local labor markets, slowing the development of industries and enterprises in the case of a lack of qualified workers), growing social the problem (there is a surplus of specialists in certain occupations, increasing overt and hidden unemployment), there is a need to align the strategic plans for the development of the economy and education.

The paper discusses the relevance of studying the phenomenon of labor mobility of young people in modern conditions of Russian society; the existing views on the effects of labor mobility. The author suggests the solution of the problem of formation and effective use of human resources by regulating the labor mobility of young workers.

The paper considers the problem of managing labor mobility in Russia. The author analyzes statistical data on this issue and the composition of migrants in various categories. Based on the conducted analysis, the author gives recommendations for improving the effectiveness of managing labor mobility in Russia.
