Communicative and pragmatic peculiarities of the language game are distinguished in the article. The model of communicative situation of D. Hymes is put into the bases. A speech game may be built on the violation of each aspects of such situation. The roles of an addresser and an addressee; the category of «subject of speech» (topic); circumstances, it means the place, the date and another important parameters; communica-tive channel; code, that is language, dialect, style, form of communication or a speech genre; communicative event; a key is the assessment of effectiveness of communicative event; the aim is the category which shows the motivation of the participants of the communicative situation.

In this article, we discuss how to use an interactive whiteboard effectively at the lesson of English. The problem of communicative situations is under the author’s consideration. We present a plan of the real lesson as an example of interactive whiteboard usage.

The article is devoted to the problem of conventionality in the communicative situation "adult-child". The author examines the main features of communication between an adult and a child, the rules and principles regulating the process of speech interaction and contributing to the formation of communicative competence of the addressee-child, as well as the mechanisms of conventional communication and the causes of communicative failures.
The article provides a brief description of the Russian language textbook for Czechs by J. Kolář “Грамматика русскаго языка въ примѣрахъ и разговорахъ” (Russian language grammar in examples and conversations) (1873), which arouses interest due to the combination of the grammar-translation method of foreign language teaching and the communicative approach elements. The textbook presents not only grammatical information about the Russian language, but also provides 24 dialogues (or sets of phrases) for communication in real communicative situations of that time. This textbook structural principle resembles the one of the first Russian language grammar by H. Ludolf (Grammatica Russica, 1696).
