In the context of the implementation of the national project "Digital Economy", there has recently been more and more activity in Russia in the implementation of the digital ruble. The digital ruble is supposed to become a new additional form of the national currency. It will be circulated together with cash and non-cash rubles. However, digital currency will not crowd out other forms of money's existence. It will have the same properties as the usual forms of money, and will be an addition to them. Under this condition, the digital currency has its pros and cons, which must be gradually addressed. In the long term, the digital ruble will help Russia become more independent in the field of payment systems.
This article is aimed at considering issues related to the introduction of the digital currency of the central bank and identifying their main advantages and disadvantages. Examples of existing projects in this direction and the results of their application are also given. The analysis of the use of smart contracts in business is carried out.
This study is devoted to the problematic aspects of the transformation of civil law institutions, caused by the digitalization processes. The author conducts a comprehensive analysis of the impact of digitalization of the economy on the sphere of civil law, considering the change of doctrinal ideas about elements of civil legal relations, key directions of law-making activities aimed at the creation of legal norms, adequate new technological reality, formation of appropriate law enforcement practice.
The introduction of a national digital currency is, objectively, an increasingly necessary element to ensure the stability and relative independence of the fiscal system. This article discusses the positive and negative aspects of the digital ruble and China's experience in introducing the digital yuan. The existing conditions, such as the crisis and sanctions, require the creation of domestic payment systems, which can ensure the financial independence of both individual areas and the state as a whole. Own digital currency can also reduce the sensitivity to fluctuations in the U.S. dollar.
The article explores the concept of digital currency as a new object of civil rights, which emerged in the context of digitalization. The author concludes that, at present, this notion cannot be unequivocally defined. On the one hand, digital currency is a term introduced into Russian legislation to designate a cryptocurrency, that is, other property that is not a form of money. On the other hand, there is a digital currency issued by the Bank of Russia (digital ruble), which is one of the new forms of money that have emerged as a result of the digitalization processes.
