Formation of common cultural competences of a modern student has a number of features. It is connected with the fact that at present young people are a product of "a digital era". The modern youth is quite often called "Z Generation". The article deals with the features of representatives of this generation and provides recommendations concerning the organization of educational process according to these features.
Today, the media are actively discussing the theme of millennials – Generation Y, which in 3-5 years will be the country's main economic force. Considering how fast time flies, we do not have time to look back at how the next generation will enter the arena – centennials, generation Z, or digital native (a term coined in 2001 by American futurist writer Mark Prensky). The analytical department of the international company PWC says that by 2020, about 40% of all consumers of goods in developed countries will belong to generation Z, which will gain solvency. For obvious success in the future, companies should now begin to think about who their client is and how to find a way for him.
The article contains a study of the need to transform the activities of the class teacher in modern conditions of digitalization of education and work with representatives of generation Z. The rationale for the use of pedagogical support and pedagogical support in the modern conditions of post-non-classical pedagogy is considered. The professional requirements that must be presented to the training of a class teacher in a digital environment are presented. The article also outlines ideas for organizing classroom guidance in primary grades, mainstream and graduate grades. The material of the article is based on the works of prominent Russian teachers: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor M. N. Nevzorov, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor A. A. The article examines generation Z in terms of their behavior, media consumption, and communication on social networks. The article provides a list of the most popular social networks by the use among Russian users, the most popular social networks among zummers are discussed in detail. Generation Z's behavior on different platforms is noticeably different. Each social network is analyzed according to such criteria as the goals and reasons for its use, the reasons for its popularity among zummers, and the culture of content consumption on it. At the end there are main differences about content consumption on different social networks.
