The paper solves the problem of elementary functions study on monotony and convexity graphics, without using derivative, but by definition. The solution is the method that is called the method of generalization. The result is the function, which determines the intervals of constant sign intervals of monotonicity and convexity of the graph of original function.

The paper discusses the relevance of the theme of the Great Patriotic War in fine arts lessons in secondary schools, the analysis of the work of artists who turned to the subject and the steps for creating graphical composition “The First Day of September”, dedicated to the teachers of the Great Patriotic War.

The plotting (sketching) of curves defined in polar coordinate system on the plane is studied. Examples of plotting curves defined in polar coordinate system are given. The variants of the tasks for independent work are presented. The material is available to high school students and can be suggested for their acquaintance with the polar coordinate system, as well as for working with students of the first semester.

The article includes basic principles of artistic, creative and educational methods of the plein air work for the art students, describes some features of graphic cityscapes painting.The author argues that plein air practice as a part of higher educational process is a good way in the development of artistic personality. The author also describes potential difficulties of the plein air process pedagogical organization and practical artistic mistakes of students work and their perception of nature.

In this paper we analyze examples of the names of the shops, hotels and companies of the city of Irkutsk, in which the Latin graphemes used or represented whole words in the English language. Also described are cases when, on the contrary, English words written in Cyrillic are used in the text without adequate translation. The classification of examples on a formal basis is carried out, texts are estimated from the point of view of normativity, appropriateness, language taste.
