To date the hotel business operates a variety of accommodation facilities that are not fixed in regulatory documents (coworking hostels, boutique hotels, spa hotels, glamping). In this article, the author examines the specifics of providing hotel services in spa hotels, gives distinctive features, comparing a spa hotel with sanatoriums and boarding houses. There are also suggestions why a spa hotel can be considered an alternative means of accommodation to a boarding house, both in conceptual aspects and in the provision of services.

In this article, the author of the work examines foreign and Russian experience in organizing the provision of hotel services for adults with children. Historical references of animation development abroad and in Russia are given, as well as the results of a comparative analysis of family hotels in Turkey, Egypt, the UAE and Russia (Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, Azov Sea resorts) with a description of services for a comfortable stay of adults with children. Based on the received material, the article defines the trends in the development of Russian hotels for organizing family holidays, where animation for children is organized.
