This article examines the necessity of studying psychological and educational factors which have an impact on the school children`s motivation of studying foreign languages. The author specifies the concept of mo-tivation and determines its content.

The article presents the results of studying the creative thinking of junior students with hearing pathology. To obtain objective data, both hearing impaired children and their healthy peers participated in the study. It was revealed that creative abilities and creative thinking are poorly developed among hearing impaired students as compared with their healthy peers. A child with a hearing impairment tends to operate with stamps. It is difficult for him to produce and implement his own plan, to create atypical images and objects.
