The article deals with the problem of commodity inventory management in the pharmaceutical business, features of analysis and planning of commodity stocks in pharmacies. The method of combined ABC-XYZ-analysis, which is used to optimize the structure of the pharmacy assortment with the purpose of further reducing the level of stocks, is considered in detail.
