This article is an attempt to analyze the use of red and black colours as key symbols of O. Pamuk's novel "My name is red" in the context of the artistic world of the work. The author of the article examines the proper names of the key characters of the novel, highlighting their attributive functions such as creating a more detailed image of the character, referring her or him to the real world and the world of painting, emphasizing the most significant features of the character.
The fate of the Belarusians in the post-war decades became the subject of artistic reflection in the historical prose by Zinaida Dudyuk. Illustrating the history of Belarus in the 20th century, the author skillfully reveals the national and cultural information of the poetonymicon. The purpose of this work is to reveal the figurative and pictorial role of anthroponyms that reflect the mentality of the people, the assessments of human nature, actions, and behaviour formed in society. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to study the literary onomasticon in the context of a new linguistic paradigm, the focus of which is the reflection of national culture in linguistic signs.
He purpose of the presented work is to systematize the structure of the onomastic space of Olga Ipatova's novel "The Priest of Gediminas" taking into account the historical traditions of the Slavic nameologist. The article examines the cultural ideas reflected in the semantics of poetonyms, which form the basis of the mentality of the Slavs of the XIII–XIV centuries, when the Christian faith interacted with pagan cults. The relevance of the work is due to the fact that the study of the onomastic space of the work was carried out from the standpoint of such a direction of modern linguistics as linguopragmatics.
