The results of the diagnostic study the level of development of pedagogical abilities at the beginning of sports coaches. We characterize groups of pedagogical abilities, describe their behavioral manifestations, presents methods for assessing the level of development. Indicators diagnosed in young sports teachers, are associated with the same characteristics of experienced coaches. On the basis of the necessity of increasing the efficiency of formation of is professional-pedagogical abilities at the future trainers in the process of training; presents appropriate recommendations for action.
