The research is devoted to the phenomenon of pseudo-innovations in the modern economy. The key features of this phenomenon are highlighted on the example of the well-known company Meta Platforms Inc., the question of its nature and origin is studied, as well as the nature of its impact on the processes of digital transformation of society. The conducted research made it possible to evaluate the role of pseudo-innovations and draw conclusions about the expediency of stimulating their development.
