the article describes the concept of attention, deals with the properties of attention, presents the results of ascertaining stage of the experiment to investigate the properties of attention in Junior schoolchildren with mental retardation, the main directions of psychological-pedagogical correction of the low level of attention in Junior schoolchildren with mental retardation.
