This article is devoted to the study of the problem of teaching first-graders the solution of arithmetic problems. Particular attention is paid in the article to the artistic and creative abilities of students, as one of the effective ways to increase the level of formation in first-graders of the ability to solve arithmetic problems.

Before preschool educational institution there are many diverse tasks, including the education of a harmoniously developed and competitive personality. Competitive personality has such qualities as: creativity, the ability to adapt quickly, the possession of various skills, and a fairly high level of intelligence. We decided to understand how the educational field of visual creativity affects the development of the child's intelligence.
The article defines the need for the formation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of stylization in the process of visual activity of younger students. The relevance and significance of the ability to transform real objects into decorative images are indicated. The classification of types of stylization is given, the sequence of creating a stylized image is described.
