Analyzes the development of the chemical complex in the region, calculated correlation between regional indices of industrial production and the release of the chemical industry, presented the strategic directions of development of the industry sector, proposed priority investment projects.

The article describes the importance of industrial enterprises activities for the Russian economy and therefore the need for new management methods. The concept of controlling as a system of economic management and the problems of its implementation at the enterprises of the chemical industry are discussed.
