The author believes that one of the ways of intensification of educational activity of students of non-linguistic higher educational institutions, to increase their motivation to learn a foreign language and acquire the skills of professionally oriented foreign language communication are gaming technology. The article defines the functions, rules, stages of organization and implementation of game technologies.
We examine the issues of students’ topical communicative needs in the educational-professional sphere of communication. The problem of communicative competence acquisition leads to the necessity of singling out within its component composition a discoursive component needed for accurate and adequate communication. The presence of discoursive competence implies knowledge of different types of discourse and rules of their construction as well as the ability of creating them and understanding them taking into account the communicative situation. We’ve analyzed the discourse of thematic conversation which presupposes formation and development of reproductive-productive and properly productive speech in dialogic communication which is the most topical for students’ educational-professional communication sphere.
