The article presents the didactic possibilities of online learning for schoolchildren. This innovative method, according to the author, not only provides distance learning for schoolchildren, it promotes the development of a new culture of learning, communication, cooperation, and knowledge acquisition in a digital format. It is emphasized that the phenomenon of online learning is based on the implementation of modern educational principles of openness of learning. It is concluded that the educational process in the implementation of online learning will be able to reach a new level and will allow the educational organization to achieve qualitative and quantitative indicators. In this process, the teacher becomes part of the global "educational mechanism".
