Images of Domestic Animals in the Russian, Belarusian, English and French Linguistic Pictures of the World (on the Material of Phraseological Units)

The article deals with the main meanings of lexical units denoting domestic animals as a part of phraseology and stable comparisons. Universal and peculiar features of animal images are revealed. The national and cultural connotations and the places of animal images in language picture of the world are analyzed.
