The article discusses some of the national-cultural components of the temporal word “Monday” in Russian and identifies the reasons for the negative connotations of this day. The linguocultural aspect allows us to consider the noun Monday as a component of the linguistic picture of the world. The characteristics specific to Monday and the associated prescriptions are defined. As an illustrative material attracts the various phraseological units, the statements from the Internet space and newspapers.
The article deals with «word of the year»'s functioning as a lingua-cultural concept in the aspect of the factors of emerging of certain concept nominations in different cultures, the functioning dynamics and the degree of correlation in the concept choice are analyzed. The results of the analysis can illustrate the linc between social cultural values typical of a given time period and verbal representation of the concept, reflecting this epistemic meaning.
The article examines the problem of scientific interpretation of the mental education “self” in a number of dissertations devoted to axiologically important key concepts that form the core of the Russian national linguistic picture of the world. The content specificity of the research subject of young scientists-carriers of other linguocultures is revealed, the conclusion is drawn about the importance of scientific communication of their representatives.
The author considers the purpose of teaching Russian language at school and university lessons to be the introduction to the history and culture of the native country. Language lessons should be planned as lessons of native linguoculture. The peculiarities of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the language can, with a certain approach, give students a notion of «Russianness» and the national and cultural originality of the nation.
