The article is dedicated to the issue of presentation of female job titles, derived from male job titles, to the English-speaking audience. The authors study the materials of explanatory dictionaries of the Russian language as well as training manuals on teaching Russian as a foreign language, and they undertake a detailed analysis of the pair of gender-specific job titles ‘преподаватель’ - ‘преподавательница’, which is the Russian for teacher in masculine and feminine. As a result, the authors come to the conclusion that inofones (i. e. foreign students) should be taught not only the main models of feminitive formation, but also stylistic differences of their use in speech, and the latter aspect is to be emphasized.
The article is dedicated to the topical problem of teaching Russian as a foreign language in a distance format. It focuses on practical experience of using some Internet resources for teaching Russian as a foreign language in a distance format. In particular, the article touches upon the project called ‘United Bank of the Most Perspective Russian and Foreign Innovative Studies on Saving, Improving and Developing of the Russian Language and Culture’ and upon some mobile applications for foreigners who study Russian.
This article provides the teachers’ experience of the Department “Russian Language and General Theoretical Disciplines” at Tambov State Technical University in using innovative methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language using interactive technologies and describes the methodology of preparing foreign students for public speaking based on presentation.
