The paper discusses the features of modular training and programmed instruction, applied to the problem of designing of information educational space of students’ personal development. The structure of the frame and steps in the theory of programmed instruction is discussed. The structure of modules and blocks in the theory of modular training is considered. The features of the educational process constructed in accordance with the ideas of modular training are discussed. The author indicates the way the process of programmed instruction and modular training can be adjusted so that it meets the requirements of the learner-centered learning process. A number of provisions of the concept of modular training program which can be effectively used in the design of information educational space of students’ personal development is highlighted.

The article discusses the problem of implementing the system-activity approach in the modern system of higher education. On the example of the discipline "Modern methods of research," the author shows the possibility of structuring its content and determining the appropriate training tasks and activities that will help to form professional competencies in future teachers in accordance with GEF VO.
The article touches upon the organization of the educational and methodological process through the use of the MOODLE CMS system, to inform students about the course of the educational process, intermediate and final learning outcomes in the information environment; control over the formulation and implementation of educational tasks by students provided for by the educational program and preservation in the information environment, to form a portfolio of students.
In connection with the increased attention to the search for innovative technologies, non-standard forms and methods of teaching in university teaching, the article discusses the technology of modular teaching of practical Russian language, which contributes to the formation of self-study and self-education skills; the effectiveness of modular training is argued; a set of tasks for practical exercises in the lessons "Practical work" and "Practical Russian language" is offered, organized by thematic blocks; some requirements developed by the author for the textual material of textbooks and the algorithm for working with educational texts of various orientations are discussed.
