The article deals with the phraseological units of the Russian language with the components one and the first. The author says that phraseological units with these components are actively used by native speakers of the Russian language, while in tradi-tional culture the numbers one and first are not very popular.
The article is devoted to the study of phraseological units with the category of time in the Russian language. The use of phraseological units is closely connected with the culture, life and language of the people. This study sheds light on certain aspects of the interpretation of this kind of phraseological units.
The article is devoted to the phraseology of the Russian and English languages. Phraseology is a special branch of linguistics, since the study of the phraseological composition of a language allows you to learn more about the life of its native speakers. This study is aimed at conducting a comparative analysis of the phraseological units of the English and Russian languages with the zoonym "cat" in order to find out how this concept is reflected in the Russian and English pictures of the world. Within the framework of the study, a corpus of 30 Russian and 30 English phraseological units was formed for the analysis. As a result of the study, it turned out that there are both similarities and differences in the perception of the zoonym „cat“ by Russian and English native speakers.
The part of the language game in the reflection of actual media text content is analysed in the article. Special attention is paid to the game form the pun as well as its combinations with the other forms. The material for our observations is the texts of different genres from the Russian printed mass media of the last few years.
The semantic, syntactic and lexical valences of the Russian noun GAME are investigated. The practically unlimited ability of its main lexical-semantic variants to be combined with other nouns, adjectives, pronouns, adverbs and verbs is established. The entring of the word GAME into the set of lexical units that make up the linguistic personality of representatives of many creative professions is postulated.
