The article examines the specifics of the formation of a modern reader in the conditions of a hospital school and digital transformation in education. The ways of solving the problems of children who are on long-term treatment, who are not formed as readers and have difficulties in working with texts, are presented. Didactic methods of using the digital environment in Russian language and literature lessons have been tested and described. An algorithm is proposed for students to create their own text based on what they have read. Special attention is paid to working with texts of small forms, with paired texts that have proven their effectiveness not only in preparing for the final exam, but also for the formation of a competent reader. The described methods of stimulating reader activity can be used in the practice of any teacher.
The article "The development of functional literacy in the framework of the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the breakthrough of the Siege of Leningrad" presents options for functional literacy tasks for the development of reading, mathematical, natural science literacy and creative, global competencies. The material is offered for students of grades 5-6 of secondary schools. Articles, illustrations, schematic drawings, memoirs of participants of events, etc. were used in the work. The presented tasks were used in extracurricular classes at the Bolsheizhor School of the Lomonosov district of the Leningrad Region.
