The article "The development of functional literacy in the framework of the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the breakthrough of the Siege of Leningrad" presents options for functional literacy tasks for the development of reading, mathematical, natural science literacy and creative, global competencies. The material is offered for students of grades 5-6 of secondary schools. Articles, illustrations, schematic drawings, memoirs of participants of events, etc. were used in the work. The presented tasks were used in extracurricular classes at the Bolsheizhor School of the Lomonosov district of the Leningrad Region.
This article includes tasks in various areas of functional literacy (reading literacy, mathematical literacy, natural science literacy, global competencies and creative thinking). All materials are united by a common theme: "Granite". The tasks are designed for students of grades 5–7, taking into account the age characteristics of children. The work is aimed at developing the individual's abilities to formulate, apply and interpret knowledge in a variety of contexts. The illustrations used in the work are taken from open sources on the Internet.
The article offers tasks on functional literacy on the topic "The Mariinsky water system". It was not by chance that we chose this topic, since our Ascension (the place where we live) was formed in the middle of the XIX century on the site of the Voznesensky churchyard and the village of Svirskoye Estuary in connection with the construction of the Mariinsky water system. The tasks are intended primarily for students of the sixth and seventh grades. The answers to the tasks are presented at the end of the article.
Methodological development is a set of tasks that contribute to the formation of functional literacy. The tasks are compiled taking into account the age characteristics of students and in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard. The materials can be used by teachers of mathematics, Russian, biology, geography and other subjects both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities to assess the formation of functional literacy of schoolchildren.
This collection was formed by a team of teachers from the Leningrad region, the state Enterprise Housewarming. The collection presents tasks aimed at the development of various areas of functional literacy – natural science, mathematics, reading, finance, global competencies and cre-ativity in the subject of «New Year». The tasks are designed for 5th – 7th grade students in the for-mat of an educational quest designed to be conducted in 90 minutes.
