The paper deals with landscape vocabulary in the Russian old-time dialects of Yakutia, as well as the toponyms of the northern territories associated with the names of the landscape. Practical material selected from the dictionaries of M.F. Druzhinina method of continuous sampling, speaks about the most significant for a native speaker properties of geographical objects, the characteristic features of the local relief. Under the landscape vocabulary refers to the names of the relief, soil, water, among them the names of the elements of both the natural landscape itself and the landscape involved in labor activity or resulting from human activity. Toponymy can give information of a truly encyclopedic nature: about the nature of the region, its waters, vegetation, animal world, minerals. Vocabulary related to the landscape and geographical landmarks, can vividly characterize the life, culture, lifestyle, climate, customs and culture of people.
The article presents an analysis of the spiritual vocabulary of the Russian old-time dialects of Yakutia, associated with song, music and dance art forms. Emphasizing the connection between the language of a people and its culture,it is necessary to pay attention to the representation in the language of the foundations of spiritual culture, its originality, and national talent. Nominations in the field of musical creativity of the people are vivid evidence of the active life, performance skills of Russian old-timers. Practical material selected from MF Druzhinina's dictionaries using the continuous sampling method indicates the amazing preservation of sources and the desire of old-timers to pass on to descendants the sources of their culture. At the same time, cultural traditions were enriched by contacts with indigenous peoples, and in the forms of art we see the appearance of features characteristic of the specific conditions of the north.
The paper discusses the semantics of the nominations of jewelry and small parts of clothing in the vocabulary of Russian old age the talks of Yakutia, identified by the method of continuous sampling from the M.F. Druzhinina, a well-known researcher and connoisseur of dialects of the Russian language.
