The article examines the problem of the development of fine motor skills in younger schoolchildren. The concept of fine motor skills, its relationship with speech and its importance in the development of a child is considered. The results of the work confirmed the need to use the scrapbooking technique in creative activity as a means of forming fine motor skills and subsequent development of speech, memory, imagination, coordination of children's movements.
