Considers the issues of definition of ways of increase of efficiency of budgetary expenses on social support of the population of the Bryansk region, and also the basic directions of social support of the population.

The article deals with the organization of volunteer assistance in the framework of the activities of the institutions of the VOS. The main attention is paid to the problem of identifying areas, forms of implementation of the technology of interaction "volunteer – visually impaired", as well as the domestic experience of charitable activities of care institutions for people with visual disabilities.

The article discusses the implementation of social support for families with children. The essence and content of social support is determined. The empirical data obtained as a result of an expert survey of specialists participating in social support are analyzed. Recommendations are proposed to help solve the identified problems and improve the efficiency of the implementation of the technology of social support.
