The article is devoted to the problem of phonemic hearing development in children of primary school age. The importance of phonemic hearing for the speech and communicative development of children is revealed, an assessment of the relevance of the issue in the conditions of preparing younger schoolchildren to master reading and writing is given. The author of the article gives examples of the main areas of work and gives recommendations on the use of didactic games aimed at the development of phonemic hearing in the work of a primary school teacher.
The article analyzes the concept of «sound analysis and synthesis» and reviews the components of sound analysis and synthesis. The description of the stages of pedagogical influence on the development of sound analysis and synthesis in preschool age is provided, as well as possible consequences of reading and writing disorders in cases of sound analysis and synthesis disorders are described.
