The article examines the relevance of applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to solve problems in the ventilation of multi-apartment residential buildings. An analysis of traditional air exchange calculation methods is carried out, and their features are outlined. The capabilities of modern software packages, such as Autodesk Revit and the domestic platform Renga, for the design and aerodynamic calculation of ventilation systems are investigated. To improve enegry saving of ventilation and comfort of the microclimate special attention is given to optimizing air exchange with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods
