This study researches the effect of Thymus serpyllum L. on the biochemical characteristics of mixed saliva. The research employs a biochemical analysis, including potentiometric measurements and spectrophotometric techniques to assess antioxidant activity, flavonoid content, and ascorbic acid levels. The research focuses on assessing changes in biochemical characteristics following regular oral rinsing with the infusion. The results after using infusion of Thymus serpyullum are normalisation of pH levels, increase in alkaline phosphatase activity and decrease in catalase activity, change of saliva microcrystallization type. The analysis of the results suggests that Thymus serpyllum has a positive effect on the biochemical characteristics of mixed saliva.
