Rapid economic development is accompanied by an increase in energy demand. The reason for this was the impending fuel energy crisis and the ever-increasing pollution of the environment. Pellets, a type of biofuel widely used in developed countries, have become an alternative source of thermal energy. In Russia, they are mainly produced in the central regions, but are used to a limited extent. This study examines the growing global demand for sustainable energy, with a particular focus on wood pellets. The goal is to assess the environmental and economic benefits of pellets, their feasibility and practical application. The work compares pellets with other types of fuel, emphasizing their environmental benefits: reduced emissions, efficient waste disposal, and contribution to energy sustainability.
