It works on the basis of blockchain technology, which ensures transparency and uninterrupted operation of the system. Cryptocurrencies are increasingly being used as a means of payment for goods and services in various sectors of the economy, as well as an investment asset. They provide users with the ability to control their finances and bypass the traditional system of banking intermediates. However, cryptocurrencies also have some risks and threats related to security, regulation and market volatility.
