The article deals with the technology of stowing operations at the Mir kimberlite pipe. The results of improvement of the technology of preparation of stowing mixtures are given – sequential introduction of new compositions allowing to reduce the amount of cement by 10 and 30% respectively.

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of fundamental methods for soil modification using binders. The main types of binders and their classification, as well as the physicochemical properties that determine their effectiveness, are examined. Particular attention is paid to active additives that significantly modify the characteristics of the resulting composite materials. In particular, modifications to cement-soil systems using polymer additives, which significantly improve the mechanical and performance properties of reinforced soils, are examined in detail. The data presented demonstrate the high efficiency of using binders and additives for solving soil stabilization problems in construction. Long-term practice and scientific research in this area confirm the importance and potential of further research in this area.
