The purpose of this work is to analyze the maintenance costs of the state debt. The article contains analysis of domestic state debt. It is shown, that for today it is important issues of the Russian economy. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of the dynamics of the Russian Federation public debt, the information on the current state of debt, and identifying the problems in the structure of public debt for the further assessment of its management effectiveness.
