This research investigates the impact of different types of softeners on the frost resistance of rubber products made from epichlorohydrin rubber CG205. Frost resistance is a crucial property for rubber applications in Arctic and Far North regions, where extremely low temperatures are common. To enhance flexibility and durability, various plasticizers were tested, including dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and a newly developed plasticizer called TAD-ZhK (ТАД-ЖК). Results revealed that both softeners improved the relaxation properties of the rubber at subzero temperatures, although DBP provided better results than TAD-ZhK. The findings highlight the importance of selecting appropriate softeners to ensure reliable performance in demanding environmental conditions.
