The article examines the role and principles of automation of gas distribution stations as a key factor in improving the reliability and safety of gas supply in the Far North. Integrated automation ensures optimized control, rapid emergency response, and the generation of detailed reports, which overall increases the efficiency of gas distribution networks. Literature on the main components of modern automation systems has been reviewed. The types of gas distribution stations and their primary functions are considered.
