Emojis emerged in language relatively recently, rapidly gaining the trust and affection of users. This article explores the role of emojis in Russian-language internet communication, emphasizing their significance in high-context cultures. By examining various functions, the study identifies the most common purposes for using emojis among users, such as conveying emotions, establishing connections, and enhancing humor. The research highlights how emojis serve as essential tools for non-verbal communication, enriching interactions and clarifying meanings in digital exchanges.
