The formation of an efficient and sustainable transport network in the northern and Arctic regions of Russia is important due to the extreme winter conditions. These regions face long winters with temperatures below –50 °C, constant winds, and hot summers with an average day duration of 19 hours per day. In this paper, it is proposed to change the traditional shape from rectangular to hexagonal and use modern technologies such as solar panels and sensors to meet the needs of passengers. The research methods included climate monitoring and studying passenger behavior in Yakutsk. A prototype smart stop with hybrid solar panels and sensor equipment has been developed to enhance passenger comfort and safety for consideration in the modernization of the transportation system in these difficult climatic conditions.
