Mobile applications play a significant role in people’s everyday lives and for long they have been used in health care. The research carried out in this paper showed that currently not a great number of existing mobile applications designed to psychologically support cancer patients can actually be used by everyone and that only a few of the existing mobile applications tackle the problem of loneliness among cancer patients. The purpose of this paper is to develop a mobile application project for psychological support of people suffering from cancer. In this paper existing mobile applications for psychological support of cancer patients were reviewed and compared, the advantages and disadvantages of existing applications were identified and the criteria for develop-ing a standard mobile application that serves the best interests of cancer patients was provided.

The article deals with the reference chat-bot development for psychological assistance to the North-Eastern Federal University students. We have analyzed the target audience’s needs, existing solutions and algorithms of chat-bot operation. The key functional characteristics of the developed chatbot service include interactivity, accessibility, confidentiality and adaptability. Special attention is paid to the significance of the online format for providing fast and anonymous psychological support.
