Aquatic ecosystems are equilibrium with environmental factors and have a complex system of biological connections disrupted by anthropogenic factors. Assessment of the degree of pollution of a reservoir by the composition of living organisms allows you to quickly determine its ecological state. From 2019–2021, studies of phytoplankton and phytoperiphyton algae in reser-voirs of the Kenkeme Resource Reserve were conducted for the first time. Phytoplankton is one of the main components of the aquatic ecosystem, which quickly reacts to any changes in environmental conditions, and its structural characteristics are important components in assessing the ecological state of the reservoir. The article discusses the use of phytoplankton in assessing the water quality of the Kenkeme river and lake. Appa-Anna. The taxonomic composition of the Resource Reserve algae’s are shown. Algoflora is characterized by a fairly high species diversity. The ecological and geographical characteristics of phytoplankton and a saprobiological analysis of the water quality of reservoirs are given and carried out.

The article presents the results of geo-botanical studies on the territory of the Ust-Buotama resource reserve. 45 descriptions were performed (36 meadow, 9 forest). 94 plant species from 26 families were identified. The pasture digression was assessed according to L.G. Ramensky, the productivity was analyzed by the cut method, and the Jaccard coefficients and the synanthropization index were calculated. It was found that 58.3% of the meadow communities are at 3-4 stages of digression, 30.6% are at 5 stages, and 11.1% are at 1-2 stages. In forest phytocenoses, the transformation of native spruce forests into birch forests was observed. The dominant family is Rosaceae (19.15%). The productivity ranges from 75 to 674 g/m², with the lowest values observed in the enclosure with the highest load. The results obtained indicate a high degree of anthropogenic transformation of the vegetation in the Ust-Buotama reserve, and the need to develop measures for regulating grazing in order to preserve biodiversity and restore disturbed communities.
