In this paper, a study was made of the toponyms of Papua New Guinea, which were named by Russian researchers in the 19th century. The influence of Russia in those days was huge, and Russian ships reached the distant shores of Papua New Guinea. The cultural heritage of Russia is a huge historical layer. But in this work only toponyms have been studied, since they are quite stable over time. Therefore, they also revealed those toponyms that have survived to this day. Despite the fact that the names have changed several times over the years. Marked on the map the location of these toponyms. They noted the fact how the cultural heritage of Russia has been preserved in the form of toponyms. Until now, the memory of the brave explorer Miklouho-Maclay is kept in the toponyms of Papua New Guinea, this is the cultural heritage of Russia.

This paper demonstrates a linguistic study focusing on the motivational features and lexical-semantic nuances of toponyms within the Tyarasinskiy nasleg, situated in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Investigating the interplay between language and culture, the research aims to elucidate connections through a detailed analysis of toponyms. The study entails tasks such as reviewing theoretical literature, selecting toponyms, translating Yakut names into Russian, and classifying them based on motivations of naming and lexical-semantic characteristics. Results indicate prevalent motifs from the groups «Topographic Description» and «Material Culture» within the toponyms. The research underscores the significance of Yakut toponymy, revealing cultural rich-ness and the intricate relationship between the landscape, inhabitants, and their heritage.

The Oymyakonsky District, located in the North-East of the Russian Federation, is known for its extremely cold climate and unique geographical features. The study collects and analyzes the motivational features of oikonyms of this region. The results of the study allow us to identify the most frequent motivational features of the names of settlements in the Oymyakonsky District of Yakutia.

The study analyzes linguocultural analysis of limnonyms of the Oymyakonsky District of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Linguistic, cultural, etymological and historical features of toponyms are studied. The results of the study make it possible to reveal the connection between language and culture reflected in the names of lakes in the Oymyakonsky District.
