This study investigates the trends in regard to teachers and moonlighting, the perceived effects of teacher moonlighting on classroom instruction, and attitudes of teachers toward their salaries and moonlighting. Besides the results of the research conducted in Texas, USA, we have also included results of a small pilot survey conducted among teachers in a few schools and in the Center of the Children’s Creativity in Kirov, Russia. The findings demonstrate that teachers would stop moonlighting if their salaries were higher, and the teachers perceive that their instructional practices would be better quality if they were not moonlighting.

Technology plays a large role for teaching and teacher preparation. Integrating technology and core subjects content enhances the learning environment by actively engaging stu-dents. This work includes a statement explaining why integrating technology is an im-portant component for education thus, educator preparation. The following concepts that we include in our teacher preparation program will be introduced and discussed: applications for hand-held devices, the flipped lesson approach and educational game design and development.

Hybrid courses are designed to integrate face-to-face and online activities as a way to complement these two methods in order to enrich the results. In this study, we are observ-ing the best combination of face-to-face and online activities in terms of their strategies and content. We discuss ways of using technology to obtain the maximum results from both approaches.
