The relevance of the study of the inclination to cyberbullying in older teenagers is explained by the increasingly widespread occurrence of this phenomenon. The purpose of the article is to formulate the concept of "cyberbullying", to analyze the causes and characteristics of the categories of children who engage in bullying on the Internet. The main method of empirical research was the questionnaire method. The article presents the results of studying the tendency to cyberbullying in older teenagers, which is expressed by a low level of tolerance, hostility and aggressiveness. The practical significance of the article lies in the fact that the revealed characteristics of adolescents are the basis for organizing preventive work in an educational organization.
The article considers topical issues of the field of law – the protection of the person from dangerous illegal acts, including cyberbullying. The relevance of the topic of the study is due to the lack of in-depth elaboration of the legal aspect of cyberbullying in the Russian Federation. Legislation designed to protect against external attacks on the honour and dignity of the individual is dispersed under different legal acts and may be applicable to cyberbullying. How effective they are is the subject of research. To achieve results, a comparative legal method has been used, which allows to identify trends in the field of legal regulation.
The article reveals the concept of bullying in educational institutions and examines its two types – physical and psychological, which, in turn, manifests itself in the form of verbal bullying, extortion, isolation, bias-based bullying and cyberbullying. The article presents the results of a servey conducted among interviewees aged 17 to 35 years on the topic “The problem of bullying in educational institutions and methods of solutions”.
