The problem of integrating students into the educational space of the university through participation in extracurricular activities is regarded, explaining its role in the process of professional development of future specialists. The importance of youth participation in various university activities is emphasized. The authors analyze the results of the study of students' participation in extracurricular activities in the conditions of COVID-19 pandemic. It is concluded that the pandemic has had little impact on students' engagement in extra-curricular activities.

The article reveals the main content of the concept of informational and educational environment. Review of the author’s approaches to the specifics of the organization of information and educational environment in the modern conditions of informatization of the educational space allowed to identify methodological, managerial and competence-based approaches to the content of the concept under study.

The article examines the experience of cooperation between one of Kazakhstan’s universities and universities in Russia and Turkey in the training of teaching staff. The authors give specific examples and show that such cooperation is a motivating factor for the choice of university by applicants.
