Nowadays, the names of rock bands as a separate class of onyms are not sufficiently investigated, unlike toponyms, ergonyms, zoonyms and other names. In order to identify the linguistic features of the names of rock bands, this work considers etymology, structural and grammatical classification, semantics and functional specifics of the Ya-kutsk rock band names, which may reflect the state of the spiritual and moral culture of the «informal youth group». The study can be the key to revealing the values of young people through cultural and social connotations.
This article is devoted to the analysis of the national-cultural aspect of phraseological units, which include a component – a proper name. The origin of individual units is considered, their connection with specific historical figures is established. Their role in the representation of the national picture of the world is evaluated.
The article is devoted to the study of toponyms in the Bulun village of the Tatta ulus of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Many of the geographical names under consideration have not previously been studied and recorded in toponymic dictionaries. The purpose of the article is to characterize hydronyms, oikonyms, agroonyms, insulonyms found on the territory of the settlement, to determine their lexical meaning and source language. As a result, the identified toponyms were divided into classes and analyzed using explanatory dictionaries and other literature on toponymy.
