The article focuses on the problem of interference of the native language when learning a foreign language. Interlanguage issues require a serious approach. The author of the article conducted a linguistic experiment to study the peculiarities of Russian and English languages influence on German language of students. The article presents examples of interference, typical errors.

This article is devoted to the use of EMC «English in focus» in foreign language lessons. The article presents examples of working with the topics of the CMD on the principle “from the highest to the lowest”. The authors make the conclusion that the use of EMC helps to increase the efficiency of educational work.
The article discusses the importance of using innovative methods in lessons of Russian as a foreign language, such as writing and speaking to foreign students for elementary, basic and I certification levels. These techniques will help to form positive attitude among foreign students towards the studying of a foreign/Russian language, increasing the efficiency of the learning process and helping the adaptation process.
