The results of a research of peculiarities of motivation of learning at pupils of the eighth and tenth classes of secondary school received by means ofboth standardized and a projective techniques are presented in the article.Interrelations of indicators of progress, orientation on acquisition of knowledge, orientation on a mark and fear of failures with some accentuated types of the personality and distinctions between them at eighth and tenth-graders are revealed.The orientation on a mark is more significant for eighth-graders.The research of not declared motivation has revealed the lack of a significant role of learning in the structure of pupils’ motivation.

The article analyzes the ideas of Russian and foreign researchers regarding the role of the personality in a post-industrial type of society. The main contradictions, dangers and factors determining the functioning of a new type of personality in the modern world are revealed. The authors point out the need for the development of an eco-integrated, comprehensively developed personality striving for self-actualization.
The article presents the results of the theoretical analysis carried out by the author of the problem of the category correlation: «self-actualization» and sense of humor» in psychological science. It is concluded that the ratio of these categories lies in the very understanding of self-actualizing personality as a person with autonomy, the ability to spontaneity, philosophical sense of humor. At the same time, a sense of humor should be attributed, on the one hand, to the important properties of a self-actualizing person, and on the other hand, to factors contributing to the process of self-actualization.

The article shows the relevance of studying the self-concept as one of the factors that help reach personal potential, ensuring the development of the ability to self-actualize. The purpose of the article is to demonstrate that the levels of self-development are reflected in the different organization of the cognitive and evaluative components of the self-concept in adolescents. According to the results of a comparative analysis, it has been found that persons actively fulfilling their needs for self-development are characterized by self-respect and autosympathy. Persons who do not have an established system of self-development find primarily shortcomings in themselves and they are prone to self-deprecation.

The current situation of the information technologies dominance arouses research interest in relation to the influence of this fact on the structure and characteristics of self-realization of young men, because it is adolescence that is recognized as the most relevant in the formation of self-realization. The purpose of the research was to identify the features of self-realization of young men studying in an institution of secondary professional education. The results obtained show the average indices of all diagnostic scales, which were reduced to four factors by means of factorization that form the structure of self-realization of the examined young men.
