This article examines the application of artificial intelligence for monitoring soil temperatures in the cryolithozone of the Far North. Amid rapid warming and permafrost degradation, traditional observation methods detect the problem only after the soil has already thawed. The use of artificial intelligence can enable real-time data analysis, predict thawing years in advance, create early warning systems, and manage foundation cooling. The literature of researchers on permafrost soils and artificial intelligence has been reviewed.

The article discusses key features of proving and investigating artificial intelligence (AI) crimes. The work of researchers on challenges related to digital footprints, anonymity of intruders, cross-border nature of acts and lack of legislative regulation of AI in the criminal law of Russia has been studied. The need to rethink traditional investigative techniques, integrate AI into law enforcement and establish accountability for misuse of technology is emphasized. Problems of crime qualification, forms of guilt of AI developers and users, as well as prospects for the development of legal norms to minimize risks are listed. The study is based on an analysis of current digitization trends and examples from practice, including experimental regimes in Russia.
