In nature, plants grow together, and not randomly. Each plant species is adapted to grow only with certain other plants. Co-growing plants form a plant community or phytocenosis. Humans have a devastating effect on plant communities. It is enough to destroy some species of plants or animals and this can lead to the destruction of the entire phytocenosis. Therefore, it is important not only to protect rare plants, but also to protect entire natural communities.
