This paper analyzes the influence of coffee drinks on the human physiological state. The biochemical role of caffeine – the main alkaloid in coffee beans – is examined, along with its stimulating effect on the central nervous system (CNS) and parameters of myocardial function. Emphasis is placed on determining safe dosages, the mechanism of addiction formation, and withdrawal syndrome. Researchers’ interest in this product is driven by its global prevalence and long history of use.
